They're a big deal. Period. Do I love and appreciate Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and iBooks? Absolutely! Do I believe they are the the only (or even the best) places to shop for books and related items? No, I do not. There is so much value in finding and frequenting your local libraries and bookstores. They provide an experience you cannot find with Amazon or iBooks...maybe not even from a place like Barnes & Noble. Businesses like Parnassus Books, which is a local bookstore here in the Nashville area, connect readers with other readers. They connect readers with authors. They connect readers with new material they wouldn't have otherwise found, because they take the time to learn their readers and what they love.

When I visit new places, I'm always drawn to bookstores. I love finding the local author sections and taking the time to find literature that is inspired by the people and surroundings from the area. I love supporting local individuals and businesses. I believe it depends my love and respect for all that goes into creating a book for someone to love. I also love finding local products like this decomposition book, Harry Potter zipper pouch, and celestial calendar. All three are unique and gift worthy!

Next time you head out to find a gift or a new book, I hope you'll consider finding and stopping by your local bookstore.
